Kronos Insider | Talent Recruitment Internship — Dare to propose ideas and create your impact!

Kronos Insider ── In this series, we will introduce you to various partners through interviews, allowing you to gain insights from an Insider's perspective into their backgrounds and further understand our culture and working methods!

Talent Acquisition has always been an essential part of Kronos. We believe placing the right talent in the right position can create the greatest value. Therefore, the Talent Acquisition team is also a core force at Kronos. Only by recruiting the right talents can we help the company continue to grow. This time, through the sharing of Jamie, an intern in Talent Acquisition, let's look at the daily life of Kronos TA interns!

An opportunity to rise at the right time! I learned about Kronos during one internship-sharing sessi

I am a junior at Wesleyan University in the United States, double majoring in Psychology and Education. Last year, due to the pandemic, I temporarily returned to Taiwan to continue my studies. To continue my contact with my beloved psychology, I seized the opportunity last year to audit a psychology course at National Taiwan University. I heard about Betty, a Kronos Talent Acquisition intern, through this course, sharing her internship experience. I gained a deeper understanding of Kronos' culture and the daily life of recruiting interns, which sparked my interest in interning at Kronos.

Firming my decision to join Kronos through an interview with the founder

As a lifelong self-learner, I have always known that I am more suitable for an environment that is flexible, open, and accepts various new methods. After interviewing with founder Jack, I became even more convinced that Kronos is such a place. Unlike the typical interview process, my interview with the founder did not occur in a regular company meeting room but in a café on a Saturday afternoon! This "interview" didn't feel like an interview at all but rather a discussion of ideas. I could feel that the founder genuinely wanted to understand me as a "person," not just an "intern."

Dare to propose ideas, create your impact

After officially becoming a Talent Acquisition intern, I mainly assisted senior talent acquisition in finding suitable talents for the company and assisted in talent hunting. I also participated in optimising the company's performance appraisal system by conducting surveys further to understand employees' thoughts on the existing system and improve it accordingly. In addition to daily recruitment tasks, I also got involved in campus recruitment and the introduction of the OKR (Objective & Key Result) goal management system.

In the campus recruitment project, I was responsible for contacting professors from various schools to seek cooperation opportunities and successfully co-organized three campus lectures! Different from traditional lecture formats, I proposed conducting panel sessions and serving as a moderator to interact with speakers, allowing participants to understand the working environment at Kronos in a more lively and relaxed manner. Before introducing OKR, I also participated in initiating and implementing the system. Through in-depth research on the differences between OKR and KPI, as well as the goals and challenges of other companies in introducing OKR, I was able to share the pros and cons of introducing OKR in meetings with C-level executives, giving this company-wide system a chance to be implemented at Kronos.

A flexible, people-oriented corporate culture allows you to leverage your strengths

During my internship at Kronos, I rarely felt like a small screw or someone doing odd jobs. There is no culture of micro-management here or a strict hierarchy. I am never simply given orders. Before doing anything, my supervisor explained the reasons behind it carefully and did not restrict my way of doing things. If I feel there's a more suitable and efficient approach, my supervisor discusses various possibilities with an open mind. In campus recruitment and OKR projects, I used my expertise and experience to help the company achieve its goals.

"Putting people first" is another aspect I love about Kronos. This value is not only reflected in the company's benefits but also its work culture. As a psychology student, I believe the atmosphere, company culture, and colleagues you interact with can affect your mood and work attitude. Kronos not only has a comfortable office space and working atmosphere but also provides ergonomic chairs and computer screens suitable for office work and regular massage services to make our work more efficient! During work, my supervisor also allows me to participate in various company projects based on my internship goals and interests, and in one-on-one meetings, helps me understand blind spots in my work and areas where I excel, helping me grow further!

If you also aspire to such a corporate culture, join Kronos now!

Because I am returning to the United States to complete my studies next semester, my eight-month internship at Kronos during this summer vacation has ended. If, after reading my sharing, you are also curious about Kronos, regardless of your professional background, as long as you want to make an impact, want to achieve exponential growth in a fast-paced environment, and are willing to accept various challenges, then Kronos is your best choice!
